Where It Started

I fell in love with weddings long before I ever picked up a camera.

It happened at my father's second wedding in South Africa — the first wedding I'd ever attended. The rhythm of celebration, the warmth of family gathered from every direction, the food that made you close your eyes and just be still for a second. Every detail carried so much weight. So much joy. I walked away from that day filled with a kind of light I didn't fully understand yet.

I'm sure I would've loved his first wedding to my mother just as much — but I wasn't born yet. So South Africa became my origin story.

That day taught me something I still carry with me behind the camera: a wedding isn't just an event. It's an atmosphere. A feeling. Something alive.

The First Time Behind the Lens

Kay & Bunmi changed everything.

My first wedding shoot was for two good friends — Kay and Bunmi — during the pandemic. There was no grand venue. No sprawling guest list. Just a small ceremony in a beautiful church. An intimate, private union that was every bit as powerful as a celebration ten times its size.

Standing there with my camera, watching two people in love make the decision to dedicate their lives to each other, something clicked. Not just as a photographer, but as a person. I felt the same fullness I'd felt in South Africa — the same light, the same love — and I realized this was something I wanted to keep chasing.

Not just to witness that moment, but to preserve it. To give it back to the people who lived it, so they can return to it whenever they need to.

That's still the core of why I do this. Every couple I work with, every ceremony I photograph — I carry that same reverence. The scale changes. The feeling never does.

My Approach

Journalistic. Documentary. Real.

I shoot in a journalistic, documentary style because weddings aren't performances — they're living, breathing stories. My job is to let the emotions of your day breathe and blossom naturally, so that every image feels like stepping back into that exact moment, as if it happened just the day before.

Every great shoot begins with a real conversation. I want to understand your vision, your comfort level, and the moments that matter most to you — before I ever touch a camera. Your wedding photography experience starts with feeling heard.

Attention to Detail

The ring on the windowsill. The look your mother gives you when she sees you in your dress. The best man's laugh during the toast. I'm watching for the details that you'll want to remember in twenty years — the ones most people miss.

Thorough Planning

I walk through every part of your day ahead of time — lighting, timeline, locations, key family shots — so that nothing gets left to chance. You shouldn't have to worry about logistics on the most important day of your life. That's my job.
